Weight Loss Journey

My journey began about 14 months ago. I had gone shopping for some clothes and ended up crying in the dressing room because I realized I was a much bigger size than I was squeezing myself into. I was tired of being uncomfortable in my own skin and knew that I needed to make a change. I began exercising at home a few days a week because I was too ashamed and uncomfortable to step foot inside a gym. I started making healthier food choices and the weight started to come off. Unfortunately, after a few months my weight reached a plateau and I needed help.

I met an amazing woman and personal trainer not too long after and she introduced me to Ocean Drive Elite Physiques. I had a consultation with the owner, Chris Gurny, and began a nutrition program he customized for me. I was amazed at the attention to detail and knowledge of Chris, as well as the entire staff. They made me feel at home from the moment I walked in the door. My questions are answered and I’m able to gain a better understanding of how to eat to perform and nutrition and exercise in general. My body fat percentage has dropped substantially since joining Ocean Drive Elite and I’ve gained a ton of lean muscle! I’m so grateful to my friend Maria Shane, who is an amazing personal trainer at Ocean Drive Elite and the woman who recommended that I join, and now someone that I call a dear friend.

Ocean Drive Elite Physiques has given me the confidence to begin prep for my first figure competition this summer! I’m fully supported by this amazing team of caring and knowledgeable people, and I’m excited to see where the rest of my journey takes me!
